General Stuff

 Q: How much are your fees?

A: Our fees vary slightly depending on the service you require click here for our full range of investment fees

Q: Are your offices accessible?

A: Our consulting and meeting rooms are all situated on the ground floor and all doors are wide access doors. It should be noted that the building is over 400 years old and the main entrance door is oak, has a 5cm threshold and is not power assisted. Anyone requiring assistance should contact us in advance and we will give any help required to make your visit as accessible as possible.

Q: What happens if I have to cancel my appointment?

Independent Social Work

 Q: Isn't this a bit like case management?

 A: Yes, but there are some significant and important differences.

Expert Social Work

Q: What's the difference between expert and independent social work?

A: Our expert service is usually commisioned where we would be required to submit evidence and perhaps appear at court or tribunal and would require the expertise of a named social worker experienced in a specific field of social work. All other social work services not involving the courts would normally be covered by our independent social work service. Our Independent social work service also differs from our expert service by providing a variety of team members with differing skills to assist you with your needs rather than an individual named "expert".




Q: What happens in my appointment?

A: First we sit down and discuss what your specific situation is so we can tailor which approach is most suitable for you. We then agree what outcomes you want and how to work towards them, including any strategies or approaches that we feel would be useful to you.

Q: When can I expect to see results?

A: Usually from the first session but this does vary from person to person. It is our aim that every client leaves every session feeling better than when they arrived.

Q: How long will I have to see you for?

A: Not one session longer than you need to. Our average is 4 sessions with some clients needing more and some needing less. Some of our clients feel better after their first session and that’s all they need. Of course with some of our longer term clients we are here to help as long as they need us.

Q: Does any of my sessions go on my records?

A: No. Your sessions with us are completely confidential. The only exception to this is if we feel you are a danger to yourself or others, then we would usually discuss this with you before contacting the appropriate agencies. There are some occasions where working with your GP or other organisations would be helpful but we always seek your permission in advance and in consultation with you.
