Christine Whiting

Christine Whiting has been supporting people through personal trauma and crisis for over 20 years. Originally Christine started life as a personal injury lawyer specialising in clinical negligence and personal injury. After nearly 10 years as a lawyer Christine decided to retrain and become a social worker, with a particular interest in working with clients and their families experiencing brain injury. Upon qualifying Christine worked for a local authority as a social Worker in a team for older people and adults with disabilities,whilst specialising in working with clients with acquired brain injuries. Other clients had degenerative conditions which required a high level of social work involvement focusing on problem solving and motivational support.

For over a decade now Christine has been an independent social worker supporting clients with complex needs arising from illness and acquired disability. Christine is also a highly experienced case manager for people with an acquired brain injury. She also is a social work practice educator, trainer, guest lecturer for various local universities and works as a mentor for a number of organisations supporting qualified social workers in their ongoing professional development. To extend her skills further Christine has also completed a post-qualifying diploma in coaching.
